The registration of domains under the Bulgarian top-level domain .bg is open to organisations from all over the EU. Those who are interested in a .bg domain but are not based in the EU need to have at least an administrative contact in the EU which has to be provided when registering the domain.
The chosen domain name has to match the name of the company of the domain owner. Usually, the registration takes up to several weeks as many different documents need to be sent via post.

Special features
- In order to register a .bg domain, it is necessary to provide a copy of the certificate of registration as well as a certified English copy of the certificate of registration. Moreover, a registration form signed by an authorised representative is required.
- The domain name needs to match the name of the company.
- The email address of the owner and administrative contact is replaced by an address of the registrar.
