.pro - the domain for licensed professionals
The .pro top-level domain is now open for all licensed professionals. Members of a profession licensed by government as well as companies having a commercial register number are eligible to register .pro domains.
EPAG is an accredited registrar with the .pro registry RegistryPro.
Which .pro domain names are avaiable?
- .pro 2nd-Level -Resolving- (e.g. domain.pro)
Scope of service: License verification of domain registrant, domain activation - .pro 3rd-Level (e. g. domain.med.pro)
Scope of service: License verification of domain registrant, domain activation, Personal Digital Certificate to sign or encrypt communication - Minimum registration period: 1 year
- Domain name length: minimum 4, maximum 63 letters
- Acceptance of .pro Terms of Use is required to register .pro domains.

Who is eligible to register .pro domains?
All professionals who own a business license from a government certification body are likely to be eligible for a .pro domain. The following requirements need to be met:
- You are a natural or legal person who provides professional services.
- You have been admitted to or licensed by a government certification body or jurisdictional licensing entity recognized by a governmental body.
- This body requires that its members are licensed or admitted to a certifying or licensing entity before services may be provided.
- You are in good standing with this body.
- You accept the .pro Terms of Use with your .pro registration.
Trademarks or company names are not sufficient for registration of .pro domains. An entry in any register (e.g. in the commercial register) is absolutely essential.
How do I register a .pro domain?
- Submit your registration order for your desired .pro domain(s) along with your payment information.
- After your payment has been received, we submit your registration order to the registry to register your domain.
- Afterwards the .pro registry will send you an e-mail. In the e-mail you will be asked for further information on your license. If you have any doubts or questions, please feel free to ask for our support.
- After the registry has received complete information on your license, the domain will be activated and will start to resolve.
- In case you do not pass the information on your license to the registry, the domain remains registered until the end of the registration period but inactive and not usable. A payback of registry fees because of a not realized activation is impossible.
